Host your next special event at our beautiful backcountry venue in Mt Laguna, located just 45 minutes from Down town San Diego. Our remote and rustic property is nestled among the giant pine and oak trees of the Cleveland National Forest. Your event setting will be amongst mountains and rolling golden meadows, seasonal lakes, trails and some of the most gorgeous drop off views in the whole county!

We are your official event planners in Mount Laguna and offer multiple spaces for your special gathering. We have a beautiful outdoor event staging area on our private property, as well as multiple cabins behind our shop.

Our main event area is located right next to our outfitting center and is surrounded by giant pine trees, oak trees and meadows. The outdoor space features a stage/ceremony area and giant propane fire pit with seating for 10. In addition, there is a deck with seating for 10. 

We offer a host of staging possibilities and upgrades, such as our Flex stretch tent (20 ft. x 40 ft.), Trillium XL Hammocks, bell tents and outdoor lounge.

The Outpost Restaurant and Bar is also part of our complex and has multiple cabins and a tree tent/kid zone. We can host private events of up to 100 people at our property including catering with full bar.

Our property is located right off Sunrise Hwy and is the perfect destination for your backcountry themed event. Located at over 6,000ft elevation, Mt. Laguna is surrounded by dense montane forest, open meadows and pristine wilderness. The views from some of our outlooks are some of the most beautiful in the county. It’s the prefect backdrop for your special gathering and our team of outfitters are here to make sure everything goes smoothly.

Canvas Flex Stretch Tent

Our 20×40 ft Canvas Flex Stretch Tent can seat 40 people and we provide tables, chairs, string lights and decor. You can also provide your own. Alternatively, we have a bedouin style set-up with rugs and throw pillows. The canvas stretch tent can be set-up in a few different styles, depending on your preference.

Tree Tent / Hammock Lounge

Let us elevate your next event with our multi-level tree tent complex and bring a whole new dimension to your special day. We use a combination of Tentsile tree tents to great a comfy space between the trees. Our giant Trillium XL can carry 6 people and up to 1,200 lbs. Ideal for kids and adult events alike!

Mobile Sauna/Cold Plunge

Our mobile sauna/cold plunge experience is one of a kind in the San Diego Backcountry. The custom made unit is located on our private property in the Cleveland National Forest, surrounded by giant pine trees, trails and vast golden meadows.

We also offer glamping events for smaller groups (max. 30) at our sites in Laguna Campground, which offer you a combination of plush bell tents, tree tents and giant hammocks. Our sites Fox Den and Blue Jay at the Laguna Campground can together accommodate 30 people. The sites are located adjacent to each other and near the amphitheater/day use area. There are numerous trail heads that connect to the area and public restrooms/showers.

This space is for smaller more intimate gatherings. The Laguna Campground is a public recreation area and we operate under special use permit. There is no loud music allowed and quiet hours are enforced between the hours of 10pm-8am. You can read more about glamping events with Alter Experiences here

We also offer event staging services at Horse Heaven, Wooded Hill and El Prado Group Campground, which must first be reserved on recreation.gov

Our team has a lot of experience with event management and staging in the recreation area. We have bell tents, giant canvas tents, and tree tents that our outfitting team can stage for your special event. We’ll work with you to configure your desired site staging, lounge areas and can offer customized experiences for your group.
